Trip overview:

Sitting on the banks of Sabarmati river just a little away from its twin city Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad makes for an interesting visit. Right off the top among all attraction is the famous Sabarmati Ashram, the base from where Mahatma Gandhi planned and led the historical salt satyagraha during the Independence struggle.
There are Jama mosque and Akshardham temple with stunning architecture, colorful markets as Bund Darwaza Dhalgarwad, luscious garden and lakes. There also many museums out of which Calico textile museum is the most famous one. The others span from utensils museum to science museum to kite museum and archer art museum. Being one of the largest cotton producers in the country, Gujarat has inherited Owing to the rich textile traditions, Ahmedabad is a delight for those looking for an artistic exploration through fabric.

Day 1 (Arrive Ahmedabad)

On Arrival at Ahmedabad , you will meet an IndeBo representative who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. After check in, there will be a briefing session about the tour. You will have rest of the day to yourself to relax. Later, enjoy your dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 (The Frayed city of Gandhi)

After breakfast, Morning visit to the Heritage Walk Visit, Siddhi Sayad Masjid, Swaminarayan Temple. Afternoon visit Gandhinagar – Akshardham Temples ( 30 Kms one-way) on the way back visit Adalaj Step Well, which was built in 1499 by Queen Ruda, the wife of Vaghela Chief Vikramsinh and return to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 (Discover the 4.400 years old Civilization)

After breakfast, drive to Bhavnagar, stopping en route at Lothal. Lothal is one of the most famous sites in the Indus Valley (Harappan) Civilization. It is an ancient place where archaeologists found the remnants of the Harappan civilization in 1955.Upon arrival in Bhavnagar, proceed for check-in at the hotel.Enjoy the evening at your own leisure.

Day 4 (The City of Temples)

On the way, you will visit Palitana, an important religious site for the followers of Jainism. This site nicknamed as “City of Temples”, houses several striking Jain temples, located on the top of a hill. Evening free for leisure.

Day 5 (World's biggest ship breaking zone)

After your morning breakfast, Relax on the beach for some time.Later set off for sightseeing of Bhavnagar. The major tourist hotspots include the Takhteshwar Temple and the Gandhi Smriti Memorial. In the evening drive to Diu.

Day 6 (Flashes of colour against the desert sand)

After your breakfast, visit Bunder chowk, St. Paul’s Church. St. Paul’s church honours the Lady of Immaculate Conception. Later visit the Diu Fort, Nagoawhich is a very large, imposing structure on the coast of the island. Later in the evening enjoy Nagao and the Jalandhar beach. Dinner at Local restaurant.

Day 7 (The Last Asiatic Lions)

In the morning drive to Sasan Gir, home to the last few Asiatic lions. Later afternoon enjoy a Jeep safari at the Gir National Park and the lion sanctuary. You’ll see other animals like nilgai, chinkara, sambhar, black bucks, the four-horned antelope, wild boar, crocodile, grey musk shrew, Indian pangolin, Indian porcupine, ratel, Indian fox and jackals.
Later evening, enjoy the camping and bonfire.

Day 8 (Wings of Freedom)

Morning drive to Rajkot, Relax and check in. Later afternoon, visit the Watson Museum, Kaba Gandhi no Delo – Gandhiji’s ancestral home – and Lal Pari Lake.The Watson Museum offers an insight into India’s human history and culture.Lal Pari Lake is one of the most exotic natural spots located on the outskirts of the city.The lagoons are roosting places for different types of birds including rare migratory birds.

Day 9 (The flamingo city)

After your breakfast drive to Bhuj, Free for leisure, you can visit the local market. Dinner with Local family.

Day 10 (Excursion to Banni Villages)

Today you experience a full-day excursion to the local Villages, meeting many local communities – the Jat, Harijan, Meghwal and Mutva people.This area is famous for its arts and crafts, such as handicrafts, paintings, embroidery, and wooden arts (Ludiya, Bhirandiyara, Hodko, Sumrasar).The ‘Banni Handicrafts’ are famous worldwide.

Day 11 (Land of White Desert)

Drive to Rann of Kutch, get ready to explore the white desert. Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh located in the Thar Desert. Relax and enjoy the view of the surroundings. In the evening, you get ready for an enthralling desert safari that gives you a chance to behold the sight of animals like wild-ass, desert fox, blackbuck, wolf, jackal etc.

Day 12 (The Great Rann of Kutch)

In the morning enjoy the game safari into the national park. During the safari, you spot animal species such as Indian antelope, blue bull, desert cats, cobra, Indian rat snake, hares, Indian fox, desert fox, hyenas, jackals, etc. The reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because of its varied biosphere.

Day 13 (Bhuj to Mumbai)

Morning transfer to Bhuj Airport for your flight to Mumbai is the centre of fashion, film and nightlife.With a little over 400 years of history behind it, this bustling metropolis, home to India’s thriving movie industry and to Indian cricket, has a lot to offer.You’ll also experience a wide range of activities including recycling, pottery-making, embroidery, bakery, soap-manufacturing, leather-tanning, and much more.

Day 14 (Mumbai)

Hop on a boat to Elephanta Island, where the 8th-century shrine was cut from the hillside and houses the ‘Maheshmurti,’ i.e. the Hindu Trinity. Later, head for a sightseeing tour of Mumbai, covering the gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, the Prince of Wales Museum, and Mani Bhawan.Then, continue to the hanging gardens perched above Malabar Hill. These terraced gardens, providing a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, were laid out in the early 1880’s covering Bombay’s main reservoir. This evening, drive past the famous Marine drive. Dinner at local restaurant.
