Trip overview:

From the land where Buddhism was born, to the land where Buddhism is a lifestyle. From the laps of the mighty Himalayas to the Kingdom of Happiness. Through your journey from Nepal to Bhutan you would witness the various facades of Buddhism in these regions.

Mobbed by monkeys, the World Heritage Site, Swayambhunath soars above the city on a lofty hilltop. Visit Kathmandu’s best loved temple that survived the 2015 earthquake. The following morning fly to Bhutan and visit Drugyel Dzong, the dzong built to man the route to Tibet and also, one of its oldest Buddhist temple, Kyichu Lhakang, near Paro. Drive to the Taktsang Monastery, a sacred Buddhist temple located on the cliffside of the upper Paro valley, before heading to Thimphu. While in Thimphu, explore Bhutan’s capital city, see the local handicrafts, witness the Thimphu and Wangdi Tsechu and explore scenic town of Punakha. And on the final day of you journey, try your hands at golf in Phuntsholing.

Day 1 (Welcome to India)

Meeting and assistance at arrival. Transfer to the hotel
Rest of the day free to get over jet lag

Day 2 (Flight to Kathmandu)

In time transfer to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu
Meeting and assistance at arrival. Transfer to the hotel
Visit the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)

Day 3 (Flight to Paro)

In time transfer to the airport for your flight to Paro
Breakfast on board
Meeting and assistance at arrival. Transfer to the hotel
Afternoon : Visit the Kichu Lhakhang & Drugyel Dzong

Day 4 (Drive to Thimphu)

Visit the Taktsang Monastery or the Tiger’s Nest
Return to hotel for lunch
Post lunch drive to Thimphu
Arrive in Thimphu. Check in at the hotel

Day 5 (Around Thimphu)

Early morning : Leave for Wangdi to attend the Wangdi Tsechu
Lunch at Kichu Wangdi
After lunch, drive to Punakha
After visit drive back to Thimphu

Day 6 (In Thimphu)

Breakfast at hotel
Morning : Attend the Thimphu Tsechu
Afternoon: Visit the Handicrafts Emporium and the post-office for stamps. Visit the Memorial Chorten (a huge stupa) of the Late King of Bhutan
Later visit the Tashichho Dzong which is the seat of the Government

Day 7 (Drive to Phuntsholing)

Morning : Visit the new golf course at Thimpu
Lunch at Golf course/ city restaurant
Later drive on to Phuntsholing

Day 8 (A Day in Phuntsholing)

Breakfast at hotel
In time transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi
Lunch on board flight
Meeting and assistance on arrival in Delhi
Farewell dinner at an exclusive venue

Day 9 (See You Again Soon)

In time transfer to the airport for your onward flight
